My Testimony
By Timothy Patterson

I was brought up in a Christian home and so from an early age I knew that I needed to be saved. One year at camp during a meeting I just asked God to save me and trusted Him to do this. Toward the end of my GCSE's I remember being unsure as to which path to take, either to continue at school or go to tech. I prayed to God and said, "that if I got enough points to get back to school that I would take that as confirmation."

I got enough points to get back to school however, because some of my friends where going to tech I decided that I would go my own way and join them.I became careless in my quiet times and did not enjoy the prayer meeting or church as much as I once had. It wasn't too long before I was joining my friends at the weekends. After a few months of tech I decided to leave and get a job.

In the Summer of 2002 I went along to a Summer camp where God really spoke to me. I asked God for forgiveness and restoration and I believe He answered my prayer.God really helped me and gave me new friends and new desires. About a year after this God opened the door for me to return to education and study computers, firstly at tech and now at university. I am very thankful for this and I know that He has helped and will continue to do so.

God gave me opportunities to serve Him helping out with the youth work and also with computer work around the church. I had the privilege of going to Brazil in 2004 and Romania in 2006 in practical missionary work teams which were a great experience.

It is very reassuring to know that God's, "grace is sufficient for me, for His strength is made perfect in weakness." 2 Corinthians 12 v 9.
