Church Gazette - October - December 2009

Dear Friends,

Many thanks for all your support and fellowship since our last Church Gazette. We all enjoyed our Summer break when we spent most of our time in England.

We had some special times of prayer during the month of September when we felt the presence of God very real in our prayer times. It was very encouraging to see so many present at all the prayer meetings. We know that for some of you that wasn't possible but we greatly appreciate your prayers for the winter work. With John Wesley we can say , "God does nothing but in answer to believing prayer."

Since returning from holiday at the beginning of August we seem to have spent quite a bit of time visiting the sick in the various hospitals. We believe that this is a very important part of our ministry. There are those of you both young and old who will be reading this Gazette, who are still recuperating either in hospital or in your own home. Our prayers and feelings are much with you at this time. Its good to be saved. Isaiah tells us that we are to, "fear not when we pass through the waters."

Included in this issue are names of dear folk who are now in Nursing/Care homes. Some are away from us for many years, while others are adjusting to a different environment. Hopefully this list will serve as a prayer reminder. We also pray for the families of these dear friends that they too will know God's help.

We look forward to our special week of meetings in November when Rev. Eric Lewis will be bringing special messages from the Word of God.

We are now well into the winter programme again and continue to look to the Lord for His help and blessing.

If you have any difficulty in getting your copy of the Gazette do let us know your address and we will post it to you.

Yours sincerely,

Rev.Malcolm Patterson
